Normally we’re just hanging out in our little corner of the Netherlands, but for the next few months we’re going to have a presence on the literal opposite side of the world!
We are so excited that The Knightling was chosen to be part of the Clogs, Tulips, and Video Games: Game Design in the Netherlands exhibition at Erasmus Huis in Jakarta, Indonesia. This exhibition features twelve Dutch video games with stories about their design, development, and of course, you can play the games yourself.

This is a fantastic opportunity for us to show our game to a new audience in a different culture. To make this happen, we collaborated with the Dutch Games Association to send The Knightling to Indonesia. We included some of our concept art, narrative notes, story and art references, and design documents, and they had a whole team onsite who translated everything into Indonesian for the local audience.
Of course, even though it’s very far from home, the themes in The Knightling about being a little underdog on a big adventure in a wide world transcends borders and cultures, and we hope it resonates with people who play our little game at the exhibition.

Clogs, Tulips, and Video Games opened in early June, and will be running until August 29 this year, so if you are in Indonesia, make sure you check it out!
Selamat bermain! (Have fun playing!)
